Why I started Clear For Men

"I'm Louis, the founder of Clear For Men - a skincare brand that's on a mission to tackle the stigma around male mental health, one bottle at a time.

I started Clear For Men in 2020/21 from my own mental health journey. I lost a lot of confidence in myself, was angry at the world and I really didn't like the person I was becoming.

I stopped becoming a priority in my own life. I felt alone, scared to talk and struggled a lot with anxiety.

"Self-care really helped me to feel good, restore my confidence, and remind me of just how important it is to pause and take a moment for ourselves.

Even though it helped me feel more confident, I still felt incredibly vulnerable talking about my emotions.

I never wanted anyone else to feel the way that I did, and so I decided to make a difference.

I started Clear For Men to restore confidence, create a safe-space and be a daily reminder for men to Take Five®."

February 2021-August 2022:

I spent 18 months learning, sampling, and building my first product, the Take Five® Facial Cleanser.

My mission is to help restore confidence in men, which is why I formulated the Take Five® cleanser to help with men's main skin concerns (dry, tired, dull-appearing skin).

I'm proud to say that Clear For Men is made in the UK, using a certified B-Corp manufacturer.
